Which of These High Blood Pressure Herbs Is Right for You?

If hypertension is not very advanced, high blood pressure herbs can have a huge effect in treating this disease.

1. Common Hawthorn (Crataegus monogyna)

2. Shepherd's Purse (Capsella bursa-pastoris)
Regulates and normalizes blood pressure. Because of these properties, Shepherd's Purse is recommended as an aid in heart disease with arrhythmia, accompanied by hypertension, hypotension or labile blood pressure.

In addition to the hypotensive action, Shepherd's Purse stops bleeding, so it is recommended for hypertension accompanied by bleeding (epistaxis etc.) or hypertension occurred at menopause.

Infusion: Put 2 teaspoons of plant in 1 cup of water. Drink regularly for 4-6 weeks, one cup one morning and one in the evening.

5. Olive Leaves have hypotensive effects. They are recommended in the case of moderate hypertension, blood circulation disorders, angina pectoris, non-insulin dependent diabetes (it has hypoglycaemic properties), herpes, viral and bacterial infections, prevent premature aging.

In terms of hypertension, studies have shown that 3 months treatment with olive leaves extract return blood pressure to normal values. The leaves can be used as an infusion or decoction.

Infusion: Put 15 g / 0.53 oz of leaves in 1 l / 34 oz of boiling water. Cover and let steep for 10 minutes, then strain. Drink one cup in the morning and one in the evening.

Decoction: Put 30 g / 1.06 oz of leaves in 1 l / 34 oz of cold water. Boil for 5 minutes, then strain. Drink warm, one cup in the morning and one in the evening.

6. Sea buckthorn (Hippophae rhamnoides) oil lowers blood pressure.

Sea buckthorn gives us a naturally reserve of vitamins and minerals: vitamin B complex, a dose of vitamin C of greater value than that given by citrus, vitamin E, phosphorus, magnesium and sodium.

Sea buckthorn oil is recommended especially for people suffering from hypertension or angina pain. Sea buckthorn oil is obtained by cold pressing the fruits. Store the juice in a cool place for a period of several days. It can be used daily before a meal or shortly before taking allopathic treatment.

7. Ribwort plantain (Plantago lanceolata) - a plant with almost miraculous external properties is also used by phytotheraphists in rheumatism, cardiac arrhythmias and various heart disorders.
