How to make a delicious drink from a basic ginger tea recipe

A good ginger tea recipe is all you need when you're having upset stomach symptoms like heatburn, nausea, vomiting or gastritis.

Ginger can also be used as an antiviral herbal remedy for common cold and cough.

Quick Ginger Tea Recipe

  • Boil a cup of water
  • Put in the water 2 slices of ginger (up to 2 mm thick)
  • Leave to infuse for another 6-8 minutes, then strain.

Here is another variant of this recipe if you have fresh ginger:

  • Boil a cup of water
  • Add maximum 10 g fresh ginger slices
  • Simmer for another 10 minutes.

Cold & Cough Ginger Tea

  • Boil a cup of water
  • Chop 10 g of ginger and add it to the water
  • Boil for another 5 minutes
  • Add half a teaspoon of brown sugar or honey

Drink this decoction while it is still hot.

You can prepare extremely delicious tea by adding other herbs to the ginger tea.

Cold & Fever Ginger Tea

Ginger tea is also an effective remedy for common cold and fever.

In a cup with boiling water add a few pieces of ginger before adding tea leaves. Let steep for 6-8 minutes, then strain. Drink this tea twice a day.

# If you find the taste of ginger tea too pungent, add black tea, peppermint and perhaps a slice of lemon or lime juice.

# If you caught a cold, add licorice, black tea, peppermint or hibiscus to one of the ginger tea recipes above and you'll have an improved and more delicious tea.

# Make an excellent energizing ginger tea with cinnamon, fennel, coriander, orange pieces, cardamom, rosemary, nutmeg and anise. Sweeten it with brown sugar or honey.
